Aston
Aston township consists of generations that derive from Delaware County. This shapes a very connected, family-like community. It was the first town to show mass expansion in the 1980’s due to the large availability of land and people’s desire to have a town to live in with a country feel. One of the advantages of living in this town is its close proximity to major highways which include I-95, Blue Route and Route 202. It also has easy access to Southern New Jersey via the Commodore Barry Bridge. This is not really a walkable town but does have public transportation available and close access to a rail system in Media which provides a ride to Center City in about 25 minutes. Aston has a nice mix of single homes and multifamily housing.

It is a popular place for young professionals to live in due to the affordable home prices and proximity to major highways and ranks 309 out of 710 for “Best Young Professionals Towns to Live In”. And when it comes to towns to raise a family in, the town of Aston scores 397 out of 710!
Schools
Penn Delco is the school district that Aston resides in. It is a highly rated school district.
Choosing an area with good school rating consistency is important. While the area you’re looking at right now might have great elementary schools for your young children, it’s well worth examining the middle and high schools they’ll grow up to attend. The middle school is Northey and the High School is Sun Valley, which are both highly rated. If you have children and desire a consistent school experience as they grow up, this neighborhood may be a good place to plant long-term roots. In addition Neumann University is also located in Aston.
Things to Do
Aston is home to two top ranking hiking trails. The Ridley Creek Trail and the North Valley Trail are big attractions for outdoor enthusiasts. Ice Works is a very large skating rink that offers many types of venues throughout the year and is a big attraction for this small town. You will find many small restaurants and a variety of retail stores in this area. One of the popular places amongst the locals is “Barnaby’s”, which is a local pub with indoor and outdoor dining and entertainment on weekends. Some of the popular eating places are: Slow Down Grill Pub, Las Spada’s Steak Shop and Gennaro’s Italian Kitchen. Just a few minute drive out of Aston in the town of Lima is the Wolf’s Produce Market which offers locally grown produce and a large selection of plants and flowers in the summer.
