Broomall 

Broomall is a suburb of Philadelphia with a population of 10,978. This town is small and is referred to as Broomall or Marple-Newtown. Broomall is in Delaware County and is one of the best places to live in Pennsylvania.  This town is composed of 2.9 miles but its location is excellent. You are 15 miles from Center City Philadelphia! The Blue Route borders Broomall and offers convenient access to I-95. Philadelphia, New Jersey and Delaware. You will find rail transportation a few miles away in Media and this allows for a short 20 min. commute into Philadelphia. Living in Broomall offers residents a sparse suburban feel and homes are owned by 83 percent of the residents.

This is a town with a very low crime rate.

Cost of Living

Marple Newtown School District services Broomall along with Newtown Square. This school district boasts a rating of #29 (496) amongst the best schools in Pa.  It is also ranked #22 out of 496 schools in the state,” Best For Athletes”. Their ranking of #23 (496) in the state for “Best Teachers” and “Best Place To Teach” attracts some of the best educators! The following is a list of the schools that comprise this district:

Things to Do

Broomall is comprised of a lot of small shopping centers offering a diversity of merchants. The most popular is the Lawrence Park Shopping Center which has a Barnes and Noble, Home Goods, Giant Grocery Store, Panera and a multitude of other shops. Produce Junction is a terrific farmers market and it attracts people from all over the county! In addition there is a very good public golf course named Paxton Hollow that boasts a very popular restaurant name Anthony’s at Paston Hollow. Many residents become members of the Lawrence Park Swim Club. There are many small chain restaurants available in the area and other smaller restaurants such as Roz and Rocco’s, New Leaf Chinese Restaurant and the Apple Walnut Café. Broomall is surrounded by Springfield, Havertown, Media, Newtown Square and Haverford. There is plenty of additional dining and entertainment options within a short drive.  The Marple Newtown Sports arena is a big attraction within the town and around the county. The arena offers roller skating, ice skating, wall climbing and an arcade. There is a local sopping mall called the Springfield Mall within a mile and also a short ride to the King of Prussia Mall.
